Shipping and Returns

 

Shipping Policy

At this time all Essentialist Inc. products are available for online order within Canada, the USA, and select countries in Europe.  We offer free shipping on orders over $100 CAD shipped via Canada Post standard service to all destinations in Canada and most destinations in the USA. For orders less than $100 CAD a flat rate will be charged for standard shipping via Canada Post to destinations in Canada and the USA.  We offer $15 flat rate shipping on orders over $100 CAD shipped via Fedex International Economy service to the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, and Greece.  For orders to the above noted European countries of a value less than $100 CAD a flat rate of $20 will be charged for shipping via Fedex International Economy service.

Excluded from free or flat rate shipping are orders are placed from remote areas in the USA which the cost is too much for us to subsidize such as Alaska, Hawaii, and all other off-shore insular areas, such as American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam and Puerto Rico.  We will reach out via email to discuss the best shipping options should an order be placed from one of the above noted destinations. We’d love to be able to ship everywhere and plan on expanding our international reach shortly so, please subscribe to our mailing list or, check back periodically for updates.

All confirmed orders of in stock items will be processed and shipped from our warehouse within 2 business days unless otherwise stated in this policy or on the purchase page.  Please allow for additional processing time during holidays or promotional periods.  If you live within Canada your order should arrive within 2-7 days from the outgoing shipment date.  If you live in the USA, your order should arrive within 8-10 days from the the outgoing shipment date.  If you live in Europe, your orders should arrive within 5 days from the outgoing shipment date.  You will receive tracking information to the email address provided once your order ships, and you may also track your package via the couriers’ website once the information is available.  Should you wish to expedite shipping for an additional fee, please choose from the expedited options for your country at check out. 

Duties and taxes may apply to orders outside of Canada.  These fees and taxes are charged by your country customs and border agencies and cannot be controlled by Essentialist Inc..  It is the sole responsibility of the customer to pay these duties and fees when the order arrives.  You may check with your countries duty codes to see how much, if any, will be charged based on the product and order total.  

Please be sure to provide an accurate shipping address when placing your order. If you find there has been a mistake, please contact Essentialist Customer Support via email at support@essentialistinc.com immediately to inform us of the error.  We will endeavor to update your shipping details however we cannot guarantee updates can be made prior to shipping.

 

Returns and Exchanges

We hope you enjoy your new products but, if for any reason products purchased from our site fail to meet your expectations, we are delighted to accept returns within 30 days of receiving your order.  Note, import fees and additional fees levied on shipments made to the USA and Europe are not eligible for refunds.  All returns are subject to the terms and conditions in this Policy. If you purchased your Essentialist product at one of our authorized retailers, please contact the retailer for assistance.

If you wish to return or exchange a product purchased from our site, you must obtain a Return Authorization (“RA”) number within 30 days of purchase. Please contact Essentialist Customer Support by e-mail at support@essentialistinc.com to obtain an RA number and return mailing information (estimated response time: 24-48 hours). You will receive a refund for item(s) returned within 14 days of the date you obtain an RA number.

We cannot reimburse original shipping and handling charges and will deduct the original shipping fee from the total price of all orders whether or not the original order exceeded $100 CAD or not.  For Canadian returns $5 will be deducted, for returns from the USA $7 will be deducted, and for returns from Europe $12 will be deducted. Please include a copy of the original receipt in the return package. If you are returning an item in compliance with this policy, we will issue you a full refund to your credit card or other payment mechanism for the original purchase price of such item less the original shipping charge noted above. Product replacement or refund will be issued for authorized returnable items only. Products we receive that are ineligible for return based on this Policy will not be returned to you and no credit will be issued for such products.

Once your return is received, please allow up to 14 business days for the refund to be processed. You will receive a return confirmation email once your return has been processed. If you paid for your order using a combination of store credit and another payment mechanism, the store credit will be refunded first. If you are returning a gift, we can provide a gift credit for the value of your return if the item was shipped directly to you. For bundles and product sets, we cannot accept partial returns or exchanges. The full set is required for a refund.

 

Exceptions to Authorized Returns

Products that cannot be returned or exchanged include:


  • Products damaged due to conditions beyond our control, such as improper storage, heat, cold, water, smoke, fire, negligence, or theft.
  • Products that have been dropped, spilled, repackaged, altered or tampered with.
  • Products in the possession of someone other than the original purchaser or gift recipient (as indicated at the time of checkout).
  • Final sale products or otherwise identified in the shopping cart as not eligible for return.
  • Containers with less than 75% of the product remaining.
  • Products provided free of charge labeled as samples, testers or display product.

 

Damaged or Incorrect Product

If you receive an incorrect product or product that is damaged in transit, (even if that product is otherwise identified by us as a non-refundable or final sale product), we will be happy to facilitate an exchange.  Please contact Essentialist Customer Support by e-mail at support@essentialistinc.com within 30 days of receipt with your order number (estimated response time: 24-48hrs).
